The Future Officers Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping high school students explore pathways to military officer service while developing the leadership and character necessary to lead in the military and in civic life.
FOF chapters provide students with opportunities to:
• Develop leadership skills • Explore pathways to becoming military officers • Engage in community service • Learn about civic responsibility and national service
FOF is designed to function as a high school program focusing specifically on leadership, service, and preparation for military and civic leadership roles.
FOF programs focus on developing students in four key areas:
• Leadership Developing the skills necessary to lead others responsibly and effectively.
• Resiliency Building mental and physical toughness required for demanding leadership roles.
• Character Upholding integrity, accountability, and ethical leadership.
• Service Demonstrating commitment to community and nation through meaningful service.
Students eligible for membership in a Future Officers Foundation chapter should meet the following criteria:
• Academic Standing Students should maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Leadership Interest Students should demonstrate an interest in leadership and service, including participation in school activities, athletics, clubs, or community initiatives.
• Service Participation Members are expected to complete at least 10 hours of community service per semester.
• Character and Integrity Students should demonstrate good character, integrity, and respect for others, serving as positive role models within their school and community.
Starting a Future Officers Foundation chapter is simple.
1. Identify a faculty advisor.
2. Recruit at least three interested students.
3. Establish a student leadership team.
4. Contact the Future Officers Foundation to receive official chapter materials and recognition.
